Ysterhoutrug Pad
The first section of this walk is called “Ou Spoorlyn”. It follows the route of an old railway line that operated between Knysna and Diepwalle in the early days, carrying timber out of, and other goods into the forest. There are beautiful tree ferns to be seen in the bed of the stream, that make it seem as if you are entering a magical enchanting forest, with beautiful old Stinkwood trees growing in tangled clumps. The walk end at the 600 year of “Big Tree”.
