Cradock Pass
The walk starts from Witfontein Forest Station. We head up a jeep track for a while before picking up the foot path. The foot path follows the route of the old wagon road and goes straight over the mountain to the east of the Montagu Pass. The path gains about 700 metres to the col and then descends to the top of the Montagu Pass. One can walk back down the Montagu Pass to the cars, but it is a walk with little merit. Therefore we should leave some cars at the top and drive back. There are great views along this route and lovely fynbos.
