This is a 2,5 km walk through indigenous forest. We descend into the valley along a natural gully all the way down to the Buffels River, coming out at a spectacular pooled rockery area. From here we wander along the river before making our way back out of the valley, ending with incredible views of Plettenberg Bay, Robberg Nature Reserve and Mount Formosa. This is a fully guided walk and we take our time through the forest looking and chatting about everything we see and find. I have had from 3 to 80 year olds on this walk, but there is a degree of fitness and balance required. Young children get tired if they don’t enjoy the outdoors.
GRADE: Moderate – on the go enjoyable
COST: R160 per person including conservation entrance fee to the reserve, a snack pack and cold drink.
BRING: Closed shoes, water, camera, binoculars, mosquito repellent, guide books if you have any.
