Join us for this forest immersion experience as we experiment with core practices and a few little ‘life hacks’ for enhancing our awareness and appreciation of the life around us. kWe will play with intention and attention to enliven our senses and enhance our everyday connection with nature as a foundation for happiness and wellbeing. Part of our outing we will involve a slow and silent meditative walk through indigenous coastal forest.
No special footwear required. Comfortable and suitable for forest path walking.
Please bring a notebook or sketchpad (at least A5 size) and a pencil or pen.
Please bring something to sit on in case the ground is damp or muddy.
Youngsters are welcome if they are able to sit /walk silently either solo or with an adult for more than 30 minutes at a time.
To maximise your and others’ experience, the use of cell phones during the activity is discouraged.
COST: R20, to Masiyembo Non Profit that leads the walk.
BRING: Something to sit on. Notebook and pen/pencil
EXTRA NOTES: Easy – Mainly flat walking, on paths with good surfaces. No climbing, minimal or no steps. Leisurely – stopping often and taking it slowly.
DIRECTIONS: Meet at “Elephant House” Kuthumba Ecovillage, The Crags. From the N2 take the turnoff to Kurland Village/Forest Hall and proceed 10min along dirt road (past Tenikwa & Crags Conservancy) until a few hundred metres before the gate at Forest Hall.
