This is a beautiful short walk mere minutes from Knysna town, an ideal stroll through the forest and fynbos down to the beach. This is a wonderful scenic route to walk. However, there are steep hills and descents and it is not recommended for the elderly.
This delightful route starts at the signpost. Pass under the subway, issue your own permit and enjoy the scenery. The path leads to a secluded bay with sea pebbles in the most beautiful hues. Two fresh water streams empty their contents into the sea here. Lookout for the ‘boiling point’ of the first one under a huge rock during low tide. Fishing and picnics are not permitted. You are bound to see bushbuck and numerous birds. The trail is well established and sign posted.
