This is a lovely up and down hike through the indigenous forests of Ingwe Forest Cabins & Adventures. The hike follows a steep path down through the forest to the Ingwe stream, where you will most likely be serenaded by frog song. This steam is a tributary to the Matjies River. Prolific bird life in the forest makes it a wonderful hike for bird watchers; perhaps including a sighting of a Narina Trogan. Throughout the hike there will be investigations of “critters”, big and small as well as bushpig scat and bushbuck spoor clearly visible along the trail. After crossing the stream, there is an uphill pull to an open site with amazing views over the farm, The Crags and the Tsitiskamma Mountains. After a photo opportunity we head back into the cool of the forest, along an old wagon trail, crossing the Ingwe stream once again and back to Ingwe Forest Cabins & Adventures.
