Elemental Beings: Connect to (Your) Nature

Elemental Beings is a creative excursion into the beauty and peace of nature- a walk with a difference. The walk is an invitation to explore the elements within and around us and connect more deeply with the elemental forces of this specific place, ie the forest around Jubilee Creek, as well as to our inner landscapes. We work with movement (walking and mindful movement meditations), writing, art making, quiet time alone and together, seeking the wisdom of nature as our teacher, guide and mirror and (re)connecting to our own nature. Fine-tuning our senses through simple creative and playful practices, we learn to listen more deeply, with our whole bodies, to life’s ongoing conversation with us as it expresses itself through the earth, air, sun and water around and within us. Connecting to the creative force of nature, we tap into our own creativity and the medicine of deep connection with self, other and the community of life.

Leermansdrift Farm Hike

The walk is on a privately owned timber farm. To a large extent it follows the Leerman Stream (a tributary of the Bitou) and has been carved through the indigenous bush. It criss-crosses the stream several times and a good deal of it is under canopy. The walk is relatively new and has probably had less than 50 people walk it.
There are places to swim in the crystal-clear water. Not massive pools, but definitely places to cool down.
I have listed it as a moderate walk, because some areas are quite taxing, but most of it is very easy and relaxed.
No smoking permitted on the walk.
Although the walk is free, we would appreciate a donation to our local Fire Management Unit, who are the first response to wildfires in our area.
If you can’t get hold of me on my cell, send me a WhatsApp message and I will respond. Cell reception on farm is patchy at best!
